On March 8th, my faith, patience, love, motherhood, peacefulness and more will be tested.
Denver's surgery is scheduled for March 8th and now that it is set, it scares the livin' daylights out of me.
I write this only to let you all know that your prayers are much appreciated from now until his recovery is complete.
Denver will be having a neurofibroma removed from his cranium. The surgeon (Dr. Eric Hubli - pray for him by name) will cut along his hairline and take the tumor out. The surgery itself will take a couple of hours and full recovery will be about 3weeks.
Dr. Hubli has mentioned that Neurofibromas tend to bleed a little more than normal, so let that be a request.
A huge thing is also that there are TONS of [tiny] nerves around this tumor. Nerves that control movement in Denver's forehead. The doctor has said that it is a good chance that Denver could loose control over this if a nerve is hit. Pray that by God's hand Denver can keep all movement and control.
Pray for recovery that Denver can STAY STILL! HA!!! I'll see if that happens. He is supposed to stay out of school and activities for 3 weeks. I'm not sure how long that will last.
He will most likely be kept in the hospital 3 to 4 days for observation and to keep an eye on the area the tumor is being removed from.
Pray Hard for this sweet little boy.
Pray for Dr. Hubli at Cooks and all the nurses that will be in attendance to the surgery.
Pray for the anesthesiologists - for complete control.
Pray for the recovery staff - they are always fantastic.
Pray for the entire staff that will be in touch with Denver this day.
Pray that God will be there and be the hands of the surgeon - controlling his every move.
Pray that everything will be just perfect.
Much Love.
