Happy Day!

Mother’s day was great. Not only did I get breakfast in bed with my 2 favorite guys, I got to share the day with Denver’s 3rd birthday!
I thought I would share my thoughts and feelings on being a mother, for all of you moms and soon-to-be’s….

Being a mom is like nothing else in the world. From the moment you find out you are pregnant, you have a brand new love. It’s a new kind of love that you have never before experienced. A Love that knows no boundaries and could never be strong enough.
A Love that is never-ending and tripling……quadrupling everyday.
Being a mom is having the worst day possible at work, school, wherever and coming home to a messy, smiling face and your anxieties disappear. Just one hug can make your darkest day – a day at the beach. One kiss can change your attitude from mad to blissful. One “E OOOV YOU” (I love you) could undoubtedly melt your heart in seconds – especially when there is a “thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much” attached to it!
Being a mom means putting your priorities aside and putting your child’s first. No matter what. It means becoming a “real” adult and really acting like it. It means being in charge of a life, and without doubt having affect on how that child turns out as an adult. Being a mom calls for patience…A LOT of patience. It calls for Love. Caring. Humility. Persistence. Happiness. Compassion. Kindness. Serenity. Endurance. Consideration. Strength. LOVE.
Being a mom means you get messy…A LOT! You get thrown up on. Pooped on. Spit on. Food thrown on. Yelled at. Cried at. Screamed at. Woke up from your deep sleep. – Yet you still love. More – and – More.
Being a mom IS love. Being a mom needs prayer. (A LOT of it) Being a mom means showing humility for Christ to your child. Means teaching your child to pray and to Love the Lord your God with all of your STRENGHT, all of your SOUL, all of your MIND and all of your HEART.
Being a mom means TEACHING humility.
Teaching LOVE.
Teaching STRENGTH.
Being a mom a mom means crying simply because your love is SO strong.
Crying because you can’t take the hurt away from your child when he is sick or hurting.
Crying because he says “Jesus makes me happy”.
Crying simply because you HAVE that child.
Being a mom is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced.
Having a child is a miracle in itself.
Being a mom is……
LOVE.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
Ephesians 4:2-3
