My Stories...

Ever since Jason and I decided that I would stay home after we 1. Get pregnant and 2. Have a baby....I will stay home, that is all I can think about.
Denver is in such a fun stage right now. He LOVES to learn and sing, and play. He loves his mommy so much and it kills me that I am working during this time. I know that he is in the best hands he can be at Kami's house. (She's AMAZING and without her...I'd be lost) but I want to be home with him so bad. I want to teach him to count, and teach him his ABC's. Ahhh! It hurts.
Last night during the rain storms - and LOUD thunder, I heard him scrambling to get to our room. There was a squeal and a whimper in there too. He got to our room and to my side of the bed (at 4 AM) and said "Yay! Rain! Mama Rain!!!" He was so excited it was raining! I thought he was spooked of the lightning and the thunder...but he was so excited! IT made me laugh a little - even at 4 AM. Then he crawled into bed with us and snuggled up in my arms. Oh! He is just the sweetest little boy.
A couple of night ago, I put him to bed. HE seemed a little nervous about something and so I lay down with him. (He has been noticing the shadows on his wall) We usually make a friend of Mr. Shadow, but this time he was very anxious. While lying there, I told him that when I get nervous, or scared I talk to Jesus and He makes me feel safe, and happy. Denver nervously said: “yes" and cuddled up into my chest. (He would not let me get an inch away from him) I asked Denver if he wanted to talk to Jesus, and he did. We said a little prayer and Denver finally started to settle down a little....but still curled up with me.
After laying there for several minutes in silence, I heard the sweetest thing I think I could have heard. Denver quietly but surely said "Mama, Jesus makes me happy" - he started to say it over and over. So sweet, so innocent. It was great to know and hear that Denver is learning to rely on Jesus for strength and protection...

Don't you make me cry!!! Sweet boy! I love this! Your time is coming to stay home with him. I can't imagine how hard it is leaving him, but you know I am ALWAYS a phone call away! (and hopefully soon a short ride away!!!) I love you and little D.
